President’s Report for CCBGC AGM 5 February 2025

G’day Everyone,

First of all, thank you all for being here tonight. It’s always a pleasure to see so many enthusiastic players coming together to share their love of board games and our board game club. Your commitment, energy, and friendliness make this club a fantastic space, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to play, learn, and laugh alongside you all.

A special thanks to our committee members who keep this club running smoothly:

• Mary – your organisational skills in keeping our meetings on time and on track have kept the committee working well.
• Craig – as treasurer, you keep our finances in check without fuss, ensuring we can continue to grow our collection and run events.
• Pablo – thank you for helping many a meeting run smoothly and for running many events and tournaments.
• Dan – your work on social media and traditional media, including newspapers and TV news, has brought in fresh faces and kept our community informed and engaged.
• Ivan – you’ve ensured our events, big and small, have been run efficiently and created fun experiences.
• Fitzy – thank you for sorting the club shirts, helping out at events, and pushing for engaging events.

And to all of you who set up tables, teach games, welcome newcomers, and simply show up with a smile—thank you. You are what makes this club special.

This past year has been another fantastic one for the Central Coast Board Game Club. We’ve:

• Seen our membership grow,
• Hosted excellent game nights,
• Expanded our library with a variety of new titles,
• Had a successful second CoastCon, and
• The Twilight Imperium Charity event raised a great deal of money for our local community.

Looking Ahead

Looking ahead, we want to continue building on this momentum. One of our goals this year is to expand our committee to ensure that we can bring even more exciting opportunities to the club.

Of course, all of this is made easier when we work together. Many hands make light work, and with your support, we can ensure that the club continues to be a welcoming, vibrant space for gaming for years to come.

I look forward to another fantastic year of gaming, socialising, and growing this club with all of you.
